Introduction
If you're starting a coding project from scratch, it can be very time consuming to create a new Codeframe and code your data. The "Extract" feature in codeit uses AI to auto-analyse your data, extract a Codeframe and autocode your data.
At the end of the process, you still have the option to review and refine the results, but the overall process will be far quicker than doing everything manually from scratch.
Extract Modes
The "Extract" page (accessible from the Start Menu) offers two modes, "Extract Themes" and "Extract Brands":

| Extract Themes | Extracts themes and autocodes full open ended verbatim responses |
| Extract Brands | Extracts brand and autocodes names from brand mention verbatim responses |
Extract Settings
By default, each of the Extract modes will use pre-set recommended settings.
However, you can adjust these settings by selecting the "Customise the extraction settings" option.
