Introduction
If you're starting a coding project from scratch, then your first task will be to build a Codeframe (i.e. set of themes) to code your data against. Traditional coding practice involves a meticulous process of sampling to build up a draft Codeframe which you then refine and expand as you code. With recent advances in technology, it is much more efficient and effective to allow AI to draft a Codeframe for you. AI has the power to analyse all of your Verbatims and perform the task of extracting themes in a fraction of the time it would take manually.
How does it work?
From the codeit Start Menu you can select the "Theme Extraction" option to begin the process of extracting themes from your data. There are a number of settings available that allow you to control the process and the behaviour of the theme extraction process. Once complete, you can view the results by clicking "Visualise Themes" on the Start Menu.
Can I Edit the Output?
Yes. codeit supports a unique Extract | Refine | Apply process that means you stay in control at all times. You can use the "Visualise Themes" tool to review the automated output and perform as little or as much refinement of the output as you deem necessary.
