Introduction
The fourth step in the Link Data Wizard allows you choose which variables to bring into codeit from your source survey.
Variable Tabs
The page is organised into five tabs:
The function of each tab is as follows:
| Tab | Description |
| Source Variables | Allows you to pick questions/variables in your survey that contain text data for coding |
| Target Variables | [Optional] Allows you to pick a closed end question in your survey to write coded data back into |
| Context Variables | [Optional] Allows you to pick questions/variables for inclusion as context variables in your coding Tasks |
| Wave Variable | [Optional] Allows you to pick a closed end question/variable in your survey that denotes the Wave that each interview is assigned to |
| Language Variable | [Optional] Allows you to pick a closed end question/variable that denotes the language of each interview |
