This article provides more in-depth information on the Text Match Frequency Guardrail.

Introduction

The Text Matching Frequency setting controls how many exact verbatims should be consistently coded before the codeit AI apply the exact text matching for this verbatim.

This guardrail is available at project-level and at task-level. By default, the tasks will use the project setting.

Text Matching Frequency Explanations

Text Matching automatically applies codes by matching verbatims against identical previously coded verbatims, or matching the verbatim text against the text of codeframe items.

By default, and to ensure consistency in the coding, the codeit AI will only apply Text Matching if at least 5 verbatims have been consistently coded with the same codes.

This is to ensure that errors in the coding are not repeated in future Waves or data imports.

The default can be changed for the company in the Company Settings, see here for more details.
