Introduction

There are many different ways to layout a codeframe in a file. Therefore, when importing codeframes, codeit needs to know what layout you are using. Below is a list of the layout types currently supported by codeit.


Supported Layout Types

The following table lists out the codeframe layout types currently supported by codeit.


Layout TypeSyntax Required
Flat

2-column flat layout, with:  
- Net/Code label in Column 1 

- Net indicator ("NET","SUB-NET", "SUB-SUB-NET" etc..) or Code Entry Code in Column 2

Symbols

2-column flat layout, with:
- Net depth "symbol" indicator or Code Entry Code in Column 1. One distinct symbol for each depth level
- Net / Code Label in Column 2

Flat with Depth Column

3-column flat layout, with:

- Numeric Depth/Level indicator in Column 1

- Net/ Code Entry Code in Column 2. This is an optional column. 

- Net/Code Label in Column 3

Indented 

Code followed by Label layout. Hierarchy is interpreted from the indentation. In this layout Net/ Code Entry Codes are optional. Code Entry Codes are generated if not provided. Please refer to the attached Codeframe Import Examples.xlsx for examples of this layout.
