Introduction
The Collapse Variables tool allows you to nest Variables together so they can be coded together as a single unit. Although Variables can be nested during import, sometimes you may need to collapse Variables after the fact. For example, if you forgot to nest Variables during import or if you have subsequently imported a separate individual Variable.
Accessing the Data Tool
From the Data Tools panel within the Project Details page, click the "Collapse Variables" button.
Steps Required
- Click the "Collapse Variables" button (see above) - a dialog will appear.
- Within the dialog, select the parent Variable you wish to collapse other Variables into.
- Select any child Variables that you wish to collapse into the parent Variable.
- Click the "Collapse" button to save your changes.
