Introduction
The second step of the Survey Data Import Wizard allows you to pick which Project you want to load data into.
This step contains a number of Project settings and options that are explained on this page.
Project Details
The main settings on this page allow you enter the details of the Project you're importing data into, as follows:
Setting | Description | Applies To |
---|---|---|
Import Into | Allows you to choose whether to import data into a new project or an existing project. When importing into a new project, the Project will be created as part of the import process. When importing into an existing Project, data will be appended or updated in a Project previously created. | - |
Project Name | Enter a name that will be assigned to your new project when it is created. Project names must be unique, so you can't use a name already in use on an existing live project within the current Company. | New Projects |
Project Name | Select an existing Project to import data into from the drop down. | Existing Projects |
Multi Wave Project | Choose whether your project will consist of a single Wave of data, or whether it will contain multiple Waves of data over time. | - |
Wave Name | When importing into a new Wave in a Multi Wave Project codeit will assign this name to the new Wave created before importing data into that Wave. | Multi Wave Projects |
Allow Overwriting | When importing into an existing Wave, this setting controls whether existing data in codeit can be overwritten by data from your import file. For more details on overwriting see here. | All Projects |
