Introduction
The Config section of the Edit Variable page allows you to edit the General settings of a Variable.
Available Settings
The Variable settings available in the Config section are as follows:
| Setting | Description |
|---|---|
| Name | The unique name that identifies a Variable within a Project. You may want to change the name of a variable if the incorrect name was used when the variable was created. |
| Show in Start Menu | Indicates whether a Variable should be available to all users on the codeit Start Menu. You may want to hide variables that do not need to be coded to prevent users selecting them for coding by mistake. |
| Variable Description | Descriptive information about a Variable, the data it holds and/or its purpose. Often, the Description is used to hold the question text of the survey question that Variable relates to. You may want to change the description to provide additional context when coding your data. |
