Introduction
Following the initial release of the new Manual Coding v2.0 we are pleased to announce the release of Manual Coding v2.1 to our Beta Testing Program. The Beta Testing Program gives you the opportunity to test early features, provide feedback and help shape the development of codeit.
What's changed in this version?
New Features
- New AI Assistance Features - See here for more details.
Changes Based on User Feedback
- Changed up/down key behaviour when moving between coding textboxes
- Font sizing – see Migrated Features
- Codes in blue circles – changed to navy blue
- Renamed “sub-items search” setting and added help tooltip
- Removed bold formatting on grouped (merged) items in CF
- Verbatim Notes – see Migrated Features
- Made font colour darker across the board for better readability
- Re-ordered the icons in the CF and made some rollover only so it’s less cluttered
Migrated Features
- Flags – flag records via flag icon next to verbatim; filter by flagged records (can toggle flag icon on/off in settings side panel)
- Verbatim Notes – add and edit notes
- QA Status – set the status to finished (fully migrated, but not all features available in manual coding)
- Font Sizing – ability to set the font size of verbatims & codeframe items (in settings side panel)
- Coding Details – show coding details - coder name & date - next to codes list (toggled on/off via settings side panel. Coding history is also migrated but not available in manual coding)
- Suggestion icons – shown next to verbatims with suggested codes to toggle on/off any suggestions (can toggle icon on/off in settings side panel)
- Filter by Net – available in the net options (right-click) menu in the CF
- Filter by Merged Items (Sub-Members) – show “coded as” merged items by clicking the eye icons in the merged-items dialogs
- Text Match Rules – fully migrated; add/edit; filter by; apply
- Select All Button – added to toolbar next to undo/redo buttons
- Remaining Settings (apart from AI related settings) e.g. max codes and prevent context column wrapping
