Introduction

The Codeframe Panel provides access to a number of actions you can perform against a Theme in a Codeframe.


Steps Required

To access the Theme Actions, identify a target Theme (i.e. one you want to perform an action on) and either right-click it or click the corresponding Theme Actions button.



A pop up menu will be displayed containing the Theme Actions available (see below). 


Supported Features

The table below lists the available Theme Actions, a description of each and links to further information.

Move Selected Themes AboveIf one or more Themes are selected in the Codeframe this Action moves the selected items above the target Theme.
If no Themes are selected, this option is not shown in the pop up menu.
Move Selected Themes BelowIf one or more Themes are selected in the Codeframe this Action moves the selected items below the target Theme.
If no Themes are selected, this option is not shown in the pop up menu.
Merge Selected Items IntoIf one or more Themes are selected in the Codeframe this Action merges the selected items into the target Theme.
After the merge, only the target Theme will remain, and any verbatims coded with the selected Theme(s) will be recoded to the target Theme.
If no Themes are selected, this option is not shown in the pop up menu.
Show Coded AsFilters the data shown in the Verbatim Panel to only show records that have the target Theme applied.
Show Not Coded AsFilters the data shown in the Verbatim Panel to only show records that do not have the target Theme applied.
Show Coded Manually AsFilters the data shown in the Verbatim Panel to only show records that have the target Theme applied manually by a person rather than the codeit AI.
Show Autocoded AsFilters the data shown in the Verbatim Panel to only show records that have the target Theme applied automatically by the codeit AI. You can choose to filter on records autocoded by any AI method (i.e. Text Matching, Text Rules or Machine Learning) or filter on a specific AI method.
Show Suggested CodingFilters the data shown in the Verbatim Panel to only show records where AI suggestions exist for the target Theme. Alternatively, you can choose to only show records where AI suggestions do not exist for the target Theme.
Text RulesAllows you to work with the Text Rules defined on the target Theme.
The Actions within this menu item are: 
  • Show Matches For - Filters the data shown in the Verbatim Panel to only show records where one or more Text Rules in the target Theme match.
    If no Text Rules are defined, then this option is disabled.
  • Apply Text Rules - Applies the Text Rules in the target Theme and automatically applies the target Theme to any verbatims that match. 
  • Edit Text Match Rules - Allows you to view and edit the Text Rules in the target Theme.  
Edit ThemeAllows you to view and edit all of the Properties of the target Theme.
Split ThemeIf AI Assistance is enabled, provides access to the Split Theme feature
Add Description
Allows you to add a Description to the target Theme
Edit DescriptionAllows you to edit the Description of the target Theme
Delete ThemeAllows you to delete the target Theme from the Codeframe.
Note: A Theme can only be deleted if it has not been applied to any verbatims in any Live or Archived projects. If a Theme is in use, then the Delete Theme option will be disabled.
